Tasting Notes
Appearance: Medium pink/rose color with some orange hues. Lots of fine delicate bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Wild strawberry, black current, raspberry, minerality and yeastiness with hints of licorice.
Palate: Strawberry, pomegranate, morello cherry, smoky almond and chalky minerality.
Additional comments: Concentrated and complex with a lingering fresh finish.
When to drink: Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rose' 2004 Champagne will drink best in 2015 to 2025.

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rose' 2004
Production

Taittinger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Comtes de Champagne Rose' 2004 is composed of 70% Pinot Noir from the Grand Crus of Montagne de Reims (12% still red wine from Bouzy) and 30% Chardonnay from the Grand Crus of Cote des Blancs. No Pinot Meunier is used in the blend. There is no oak aging. Only first press juice is used in the blend and it was aged a minimum of 6 years on the lees.
