Pol Roger Vintage 2002
Production
Pol Roger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Vintage 2002 champagne is composed of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay all from grand and premier cru. The juice undergoes a double settling process (double debourbage) at cool temperatures prior to fermentation to assist in wine clarification. Then, fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures. The dosage is approximately 8 grams per liter. The wine rests in the bottle for 9 years before release. All bottles in the Pol Roger line-up are riddled entirely by hand. |
