Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs 2002
Production
Pol Roger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Blanc de Blancs 2002 champagne is composed of 100% Chardonnay all from grand cru vineyards of Oiry, Chouilly, Oger, Cramant, and Avize in the Cote Des Blancs. The juice undergoes a double settling process (double debourbage) at cool temperatures prior to fermentation to assist in wine clarification. Then, fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures over approximately 15 days. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation. The dosage is 9 grams per leter. Blanc de Blancs 2002 is aged 9 years in the cool cellars of Pol Roger. All of the House's bottles are riddled entirely by hand. |
