Tasting Notes
Appearance: Light salmon pink.
Aroma/bouquet: Wild strawberry and a wonderful array of red fruits mixing with the brioche. Hints of minerality and rose petal.
Palate: Creamy texture, complex with all the red fruit from the nose coming through on the palate, citrus peel, hints of orange and delicious savory notes.
Additional comments: Complexity is really beginning to shine through. Very well balanced.
When to drink: Bollinger La Grande Année Rosé 2002 Champagne is ready to drink now through 2018.

Production
Bollinger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. La Grande Année Rosé 2002 is composed of 62% Pinot Noir (of which 7% is still red wine) and 38% Chardonnay. Bollinger La Grande Année Rosé 2002 is 73% grand crus and 27% premier crus. Bollinger ages their vintage champagne 6 to 7 years on lees, twice the legal requirement for vintage champagne with disgorgement occurring in numbered lots. Bollinger vinifies and ages their vintage cuvées in barrels.
