G.H. Mumm Cuvee R. Lalou 1998
Production
G.H. Mumm uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Cuvee R. Lalou 1998 is composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. The final dosage is 6 grams/liter. It is aged in the cellars for 8 to 10 years or more. G.H. Mumm has not declared a vintage R. Lalou since 1999.
After World War I, Mumm was sold. Management for the next 50 years fell under the capable guidance of the new President, Rene' Lalou. G.H. Mumm Cuvee R. Lalou honors the memory of Rene' Lalou.
