Dom Ruinart Rose' 1998
Production
Ruinart uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Dom Ruinart Rose' 1998 is composed of 85% Chardonnay and 15 % Pinot Noir from still red wine. The grapes are from 100% Grand Cru vineyards. A pneumatic press is used instead of the traditional champagne press to prevent oxidation. Ruinart incorporates inert nitrogen gas during the production. Vinification is only in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Dom Ruinart 1998 Rose' undergoes full malolactic fermentation. The House relies exclusively on gyropalates rather than hand riddling. Aged 8 to 10 years or more in the cellars. The dosage is 5 grams per liter.
