Piper Heidsieck Rare 2002
Production
Piper Heidsieck uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Rare 2002 is composed of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. The blend is from 17 crus primarily from the Montagne de Reims region. The wine is aged for 7 years in the cellars. The dosage is 11 grams per liter. The Wine from specific crus and grape varieties are vinified separately to minimize manipulation such as racking, filtering and centrifugation to help preserve the typicity of the vineyards. |
