Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque 2006
Production

Perrier Jouet uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Belle Epoque 2006 is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier. Perrier Jouet keeps a low percentage of Pinot Meunier to merely act as a bridge between the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Chardonnay is from 100% grand cru vineyards. The dosage was approximately 9 grams/liter. Perrier Jouet ages the Belle Epoque a minimum of 6 years on the lees.

At the start of the Art Nouveau in the early 1900s, Emile Galle designed the famous Japanese anemone that was later incorporated on the bottle with the 1964 vintage. The anemone still remains a symbol as Perrier Jouet continues to honor Art Nouveau. Belle Epoque was labeled Fleur de Champagne in the United States until 2011. 2002 was the last vintage to be labeled Fleur de Champagne.

Perrier Jouet was acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2001.
