Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque 2004
Production
Perrier Jouet uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Belle Epoque 2004 is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier. The Chardonnay is 100% grand cru. The dosage was approximately 9 grams/liter. Perrier Jouet ages the Belle Epoque a minimum of 8 years in the cellar.
Near the beginning of the Art Nouveau in the early 1900s, Emile Galle designed the iconic Japanese anemone. The first Belle Epoque vintage to incorporate the anemone on the bottle was from 1964. The anemone still remains a symbol as Perrier Jouet continues to honor Art Nouveau. Belle Epoque was labeled Fleur de Champagne in the United States until 2011. 2002 was the last vintage to be labeled Fleur de Champagne.
Perrier Jouet was acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2001.
