Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut (brut nature) Champagne

Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut is a brut nature champagne. The zero dosage makes for a very dry crisp champagne. Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut is cleansing and refreshing. This non-vintage champagne makes a great aperitif.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Light straw/gold with medium bead.
Aroma/bouquet: Apple, white peach, honeysuckle, flinty minerality.
Palate: Tart lemon, green apple, chalky minerality, subtle yeast.
Additional comments: The zero dosage makes for a very dry crisp champagne. Cleansing and refreshing. Great as an aperitif.
When to drink: Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut Champagne is ready to drink now and for 2 to 4 years after release.

Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut
Production
Laurent-Perrier uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Ultra Brut is composed of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir. There is no added dosage/sugar. Ripe grapes from a dozen or more crus are selected for their low acid and high sugar content. Ultra Brut rests for a minimum of 4 years on the lees. The finished champagne has a residual sugar of about 1 gram per liter from the vinification process.
