Négotiant- Manipulant
Producer that purchases quantities of grapes needed for production from grape growers. Some négotiant- manipulants may own very little or no vineyards while others own considerable vineyard acreage, but need more for full production.
Non-dosage - See Brut nature.
Non-vintage
Wine that is without a date indicating the year of harvest on the label. Non-vintage is generally a blend of wines from multiple years, but technically it can come from a single year that the producer decided not to declare as vintage year.
Nose
The aroma and/or bouquet of wine encountered through sense of smell. Taste is intricately linked to our sense of smell.
