Descriptor used to indicate scents and flavors indicative of earth such as dirt, wet soil, barnyard, etc.
Elegant
Description used for a wine with finesse and elegance.
Enology
The technical study of wine. Typically spelled Oenology outside of the United States.
Extra Brut
Signifies a wine that is very dry with a residual sugar of 0 – 6 grams per liter. (French)
Extra sec
Signifies a wine that is off to medium dry with a residual sugar of 12 – 17 grams per liter. Also called extra-dry. (French)
