Pol Roger Rose' 2004
Production
Pol Roger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Rose' 2004 champagne is composed of 50% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay from grand and premier cru vineyards. 15% still red Pinot Noir wine is added to the blend. The juice undergoes a settling process (debourbage) at cool temperatures prior to fermentation. Fermentation then occurs in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures. The 2004 dosage is approximately 9 grams per liter. The wine rests on the lees for 6 or 7 years before release. All bottles are riddled entirely by hand. |
