Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs 2000
Production
Pol Roger uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Blanc de Blancs 2000 champagne is composed of 100% Chardonnay with all grapes from Grand cru vineyards. Only first press juice is used in this Pol Roger champagne. The juice undergoes a double settling process at cool temperatures prior to fermentation to assist in wine clarification. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures over approximately 15 days. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation. All of the House's 1 1/2 million plus bottles are still riddled entirely by hand. |
