Sweet Champagne and Sparkling Wine

Sweet champagne consists of sweetness levels that are sweeter than brut. Popular sweet champagnes are listed in order from the sweetest to the dryest.

  • Doux
  • Demi-sec
  • Sec
  • Extra Dry

Dosage (grams per leter of sugar) is a good indication of sweetness. We have provided the dosage for each brand when it is available.

Doux
Doux is the sweetest level with over 50 gr. of sugar per liter. However, doux is almost non-existant.

Demi-Sec
Demi-sec is the most popular type of sweet champagne. It is sweeter than sec and extra dry. There is only one rose' demi-sec available among the brands we cover.
