Production
Louis Roederer uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. Vintage 2005 is composed of 70% Pinot Noir from Verzenay and 30% Chardonnay from Avize with 30% or more of the still wine vinified/aged in oak with no malolactic fermentation and weekly batonnage.. The wine is typically aged an average of 4 years on the lees with an additional 6 months in the cellars after disgorgement. The dosage averages about 8 to 10 grams per liter depending on the vintage.
