Pol Roger announced the launch of their 2002 vintage Sir Winston Churchill champagne today. The event in Epernay France was attended by Churchill’s great grandson, Randolph Churchill. Pol Roger’s inaugural launch of their prestige cuvee took place in 1984 from a 1975 vintage.

The Sir Winston Churchill 2002 vintage production uses a proprietary blend of chardonnay and pinot noir grapes from grand cru vineyards. Pol Roger will release the prestige cuvee in the UK on Monday and will likely be followed by an additional allocation next year.
