Appearance: Medium pink color with copper highlights. Very fine lively bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Lots of red fruit - strawberry, raspberry, cranberry. Yeasty.
Palate: Cherry, strawberry, lemon mingling with smoky minerality and hints of toasted almonds.
Additional comments: Energetic acidity, but still well balanced and appealing.

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rose' 2004
Production

Veuve Clicquot uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Rose' 2004 is composed of 62% Pinot Noir (of which is 15% still red wine from Bouzy), 30% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Meunier. The blend is made entirely from grapes from up to 21 grand and premier crus. All Veuve Clicquot vintage champagnes are aged a minimum of 5 years on the lees.
