Tasting Notes
Appearance: Pale gold with very fine lively bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Lemon, brioche, almonds and vanilla. Yeasty notes really begin to open up after about an hour.
Palate: Silky mouthfeel. Pear, lemon, apricot, toasted almonds, pastries. Nice minerality.
Additional comments: Elegant, complex and refined. Should age very nicely.
When to drink: Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2004 Champagne is ready to drink now, but will improve with age. Recommend drinking 2015 to 2025.

Veuve Clicquot uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. La Grande Dame 2004 is composed of 61% Pinot Noir and 39% Chardonnay from 100% grand crus. Verzenay and Avize are the dominant crus in the blend of 8 grand crus. Minimum aging on lees is 6 years. Dosage ranges from 6 to 9 grams per liter.
