Tasting Notes
Appearance: Light delicate salmon pink with a very fine steady flow of tiny bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Wild strawberry and raspberry mingle with dried fruits and baking bread.
Palate: Dry with crisp, tart acidity. Wild strawberries and cranberries mingling with yeasty brioche flavors. Minerality with very subtle hints of cocoa as the wine opens up. The fine bubbles give a velvety, creamy mouthfeel and complement the lingering finish.
Additional comments: A great example of a Louis Roederer style rosé , concentrated but not heavy. Refined and pure.
When to drink: Louis Roederer Rose' 2007 Champagne is still drinking somewhat young and will definitely improve with age, but if you must, go ahead and drink now through 2022: best from 2015 to 2020.

Production
Louis Roederer uses the Méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Rose' 2007 blend is composed of 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay (20% of the wines matured in oak with weekly batonnage). No malolactic fermentation occurs. The 2007 Rose' is created using the saignée method following cold skin-contact maceration which may last 5 to 8 days.
Rose' 2007 ages an average of 4 years in the cellars before disgorgement. The dosagé of between 8 and 10 grams/liter is tweaked for each vintage. It rests an additional 6 months after disgorgement.
