Krug Clos Du Mesnil 1998
Production

Krug uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Clos Du Mesnil 1998 is composed of 100% Chardonnay from a 4.5 acre single vineyard plot in the grand cru village of Mesnil-sur-Oger, purchased by Henri Krug in 1971. Krug Clos Du Mesnil is aged more than ten years in the cellars before release.

Louis Vuitton-Moet Hennessy acquired Krug in the late 1990s. Administrative operations have been updated, but wine production still rests with the Krug family. The same level of perfectionism that has trademarked Krug's commitment to excellence remains in place.
