Tasting Notes
Appearance: Pale yellow with fine smooth flow of bubbles.
Aroma/bouquet: Lemon, honey, toasted hazelnuts, hints of vanilla. Nice minerality.
Palate: Pear, apple, toast, nuttiness. Saline minerality especially on the finish.
Additional comments: Nicely balanced acidity. Impressive complexity.

Production
Perrier Jouet uses the méthode champenoise for their champagne production. The Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2000 is composed of 100% Chardonnay grapes 100% from two plots of land in the Grand Cru of Cramant in the Cote des Blancs. The dosage is 9 grams/liter.
At times in the past (for a hefty price), patrons have been able to purchase Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs tweaked to the buyer'spersonal tastes by the Chef de Cave.
