J Vineyards and Winery offers several tasting experiences. You are invited to taste in the following venues:
* J Legacy Reserve Lounge Tasting daily from 11am to 4pm.

J Signature Tasting at the tasting bar from 11am to 5pm daily.
* J Tour and Tasting: go behind the scenes daily at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
* J Terrace Tasting on the terrace Friday - Sunday (May through October, weather permitting) includes a special food and wine pairing.
*
J Bubble Room: A seated food and wine pairing in the salon. Offered Thursday through Sunday.
VENUE AND SPARKLING WINE
Wine Club
J Vineyards and Winery has 5 levels of club memberships. All levels include varying discounts on wine (varied by level) and a gift and travel concierge. Other perks that vary by level are signature bar flights and discounted or free legacy and bubble room tastings. The J Experience, J Elegance and J Luxe levels include first access to library/limited edition wines and corporate events program access. The J Signature, J Experience, J Elegance and J Luxe levels include reorder discounts of 25%.
Details/shipments per year are as follows:
* J Expression - 2 shipments per year, 12 bottles per shipment.
* J Signature -
4 shipments per year, 4 to 6 bottles per shipment.
* J Experience - 4 shipments per year, 8 bottles per shipment, plus preferred shipping rate of $25.
* J Elegance - 4 shipments per year, 12 bottles per shipment, shipping is included.
* J Luxe - 4 shipments per year, 36 bottles per shipment, shipping is included.
Type of Producer
J Vineyards owns more than 250 acres in the Russian River Valley incorporating 9 - 10 different vineyards. The vineyards are 'Certified Sustainable' by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. Some vineyards are progressing toward 'Organic Certification'. The winery also works to develop long term partnerships with key growers in Sonoma area and the Russian River Valley.

Primarily, J's sparkling wines are modern, balanced and elegant with a true reflection of the northern California terroir.

Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California at Davis (1989). Before joining J Vineyards and Winery, she worked at La Crema as winemaker (2003 to 2010) and then at Pinot Noir winemaker for the Jackson family wines.

Founded in 1986 with a focus on excellence and authenticity of terroir, J Vineyards and Winery is housed in a state of the art facility in Healdsburg, CA that once belonged to Piper Sonoma. The vineyards included in the winery holdings are certified sustainable and J supports viticultural practices that are environmentally sensitive and responsible. J Vineyards and Winery has partnered with Canine Companions for Independence and donates a percentage of proceeds from special flights directly to the organization. History
Judy Jordan is a second generation vintner, following in the footsteps of her dad, Jordan Winery founder Tom Jordan. Judy, a college tennis player, graduated with a degree in Earth Sciences/Geology from Stanford University. In 1986 at age 25 she started her own winery, what is now named J Vineyards and Winery. The operation originally began producing sparkling wine in proximity to her father's winery. During the initial period wine was made in an old processing barn. The first release was in 1991 of the 1987 J Vintage Brut. The business grew and in 1996 Judy purchased the former Piper Sonoma winery just south of Healdsburg. In 1999 Judy incorporated a lavish food and wine pairing experience into a special tasting room. Hardships including recession, flooding and more have been overcome along the way. New vineyards have been acquired as old debts were paid off. The focus has remained on quality throughout the journey. Some award winning still varietal wines have been added to the lineup.
Judy and the team at J Vineyards and Winery are committed not only to making remarkable, world class sparkling wine, but to making great sparkling wine that truly reflects the terroir of the vineyards. To reflect the wine's sense of place including the climate, the soil, the aspect and much more. Core values come across as focusing on intergrity, respect and elegant comfort.
The 'J' brush stroke on the bottles was originally drawn by Judy several years ago and became the winery's trademark after working through the final design with a graphic designer. The wines are very popular for weddings, especially with brides whose first names begin with "J"!
